At the recent UN General Assembly\u2019s First Committee meeting<\/a>, global representatives expressed mounting concern over the Iranian regime\u2019s expanding nuclear activities. Various countries, including Argentina, Australia, and Japan, voiced their fears about Tehran\u2019s defiance of international nuclear agreements and its lack of cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Ricardo Lagorio, Argentina’s permanent representative to the UN, reiterated concerns already raised in IAEA meetings, stating, \u201cWe repeat our concerns over Iran\u2019s nuclear program and its impact on the disarmament and non-proliferation regime.\u201d Similarly, Australia\u2019s representative emphasized the regime\u2019s failure to comply with its nuclear safeguards, urging Tehran to “fully and promptly implement the joint statement of March 4, 2023” and cease its provocative actions.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Slovenia’s UN representative, Samuel \u017dbogar, called for the regime to halt all proliferation-sensitive activities and resume verification efforts under the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
