The Iranian regime has long relied on a narrative that paints itself as the only viable choice for governance, claiming that without its grip on power, the country would descend into chaos akin to Syria or Libya. This message, paired with the boogeyman of monarchist remnants\u2014who are portrayed as fractured and infiltrated\u2014serves a dual purpose. It seeks to suppress internal dissent and discourage international support for the Iranian opposition. However, this narrative falls apart under scrutiny, as a legitimate and well-structured alternative exists: the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), led by <\/span>Mrs.<\/span><\/a> Maryam Rajavi.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Exposing the Regime\u2019s Facade<\/h3>\n

Over decades, the Iranian regime has exposed its lack of legitimacy through brutal crackdowns on successive waves of popular uprisings, from the protests of 2009 to the nationwide demonstrations in 2022<\/a> and beyond. These movements have underscored the public\u2019s rejection of both theocratic rule and any pretense of reform within the regime. Yet, the regime clings to a two-pronged strategy to maintain its grip: suppressing internal resistance and perpetuating the myth of chaos as the only alternative. By portraying the opposition abroad as divided and dysfunctional, it seeks to dissuade the global community from supporting regime change.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This narrative is bolstered by the regime\u2019s mouthpieces in the West, who advocate for continued appeasement under the guise of pragmatism. Such arguments fail to acknowledge the existence of a credible, organized alternative that offers a roadmap for a democratic and peaceful Iran.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

A Viable Democratic Alternative<\/h3>\n

The National Council of Resistance of Iran<\/a> (NCRI) and its leading member organization, the People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI\/MEK), represent a comprehensive and structured alternative to the current r<\/span>egime. The NCRI bo<\/span>asts decades of experience, a coherent strategy, and widespread support within and outside Iran.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

At the heart of the NCRI\u2019s vision is Maryam Rajavi\u2019s Ten-Point Plan<\/a>, which has received international endorsements from over 125 former heads of state<\/a>, 4,000 parliamentarians<\/a>, and numerous Nobel laureates<\/a>. The plan calls for democracy, human rights, gender equality, the abolition of the death penalty, religious freedom, and a non-nuclear Iran. Importantly, the NCRI does not seek to seize power but aims to transfer sovereignty to the people through democratic processes.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
