In an interview with Fox News<\/em><\/a>, retired Gen. Jack Keane outlined the Iranian regime’s increasing vulnerabilities in the face of mounting internal and external pressures. Gen. Keane explained that Tehran\u2019s strategic position has eroded significantly, leaving it exposed to threats against its critical infrastructure, leadership, and nuclear ambitions. “They can’t even protect their leaders in Tehran, much less their nuclear facilities or missile systems,” he stated, highlighting the regime’s precarious state.<\/p>\n

According to Gen. Keane, the Iranian leadership has long viewed nuclear weapons as essential for preserving its regime. He noted that Tehran has historically believed that such weapons would ensure its survival. “They have always believed that a nuclear weapon would ensure their regime\u2019s survival,” he said, reinforcing the urgency of addressing Iran\u2019s nuclear ambitions.<\/p>\n

Gen. Keane emphasized that the current situation presents a strategic opportunity for the international community to take decisive action. He proposed two key approaches: “You could force Iran to dismantle the system by a date certain, verified by inspectors from the U.S., the region, and the U.N., or take it down militarily once and for all.” He added that this moment offers a rare chance to neutralize the threat posed by Iran’s nuclear program, which intelligence agencies are closely monitoring.<\/p>\n
