On January 9, a conference held in Paris, France, marked a pivotal moment in the ongoing struggle against Iran\u2019s ruling regime. Speakers included NCRI President-elect Maryam Rajavi and former U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, alongside messages of solidarity from members of Ashraf 3 in Albania.<\/p>\n

Mrs. Rajavi opened<\/a> the event by welcoming participants and emphasizing the resilience and progress of the Resistance. \u201c2024 was a year full of serious defeats for the regime,\u201d she declared, citing widespread boycotts of sham elections, growing dissent, and the collapse of the Assad regime in Syria\u2014a blow she described as \u201ca clear reflection of the regime\u2019s weakness.\u201d She outlined the regime’s struggles, including economic instability marked by 40% inflation, mass poverty, and increasing defection among its forces. \u201cThe fall of Bashar al-Assad has shown the Iranian people that overthrowing a criminal dictatorship is possible,\u201d she said, crediting the expanding activities of Resistance Units with galvanizing public support for future uprisings.<\/p>\n

Urging global recognition of the NCRI\u2019s role, Mrs. Rajavi asserted, \u201cRecognizing the Iranian Resistance is not one choice among many; it is the only practical and viable solution to confront the religious fascism ruling Iran.\u201d She reiterated her vision of a \u201cdemocratic and pluralistic republic\u201d rooted in gender equality and separation of religion from state.<\/p>\n
