On Monday morning, January 13, a patrol vehicle belonging to the Saleh Shahr police station was attacked by unidentified assailants on the Shushtar-Gotvand road in Khuzestan Province, Iran. The attack left two police officers and one conscript wounded.<\/p>\n

Amir Khalafian, the public prosecutor of Khuzestan, confirmed the incident<\/a> and stated that investigations are underway to identify and apprehend the perpetrators. He added that further details will be announced once the investigation is complete.<\/p>\n

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack, and the motive of the assailants remains unknown. Khamenei\u2019s Hollow Displays of Power Betray His Regime\u2019s Desperation<\/h3>\n

Rasoul Falahati, the Iranian regime\u2019s Friday prayer leader of Gilan Province, referred to a meeting of 31 Friday prayer leaders with regime Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei during this week\u2019s Friday prayer sermon in Rasht. He stated, \u201cA few days ago this week, we, the representatives of the Supreme Leader, held a gathering in Tehran. Then on Monday, these 31 provincial representatives met with Khamenei, where he said, \u2018Encourage the people and distance yourselves from anything that causes despair.\u2019\u201d (Regime television, January 11, 2025).<\/p>\n

Qarchak Prison: Farzaneh Bijanipour Dies Due to Medical Neglect<\/h3>\n

On the evening of Saturday, January 11, Farzaneh Bijanipour, a prisoner held in Ward 6 of\u00a0Qarchak Prison<\/a>, passed away due to the prison doctor\u2019s refusal to provide adequate medical care. Prison authorities prevented her transfer to external medical facilities.\u00a0Farzaneh Bijanipour, incarcerated for non-political offenses in Ward 6, reported feeling chills and severe discomfort on Saturday evening and sought help at the prison\u00a0infirmary<\/a>. However, the prison doctor dismissed her condition as a feigned illness. Hours later, when her health deteriorated further, her cellmates brought her back to the infirmary, where she was given nothing more than a painkiller.<\/p>\n

Later that night, Ms. Bijanipour lost consciousness. Despite being taken to the infirmary again, she died shortly after. Prison authorities delayed transferring her to a hospital until after her death.<\/p>\n
