Participants emphasized the necessity for a unified approach to counter Tehran\u2019s oppression and support the Iranian people\u2019s aspirations for freedom.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Antonio Stango, President of the Italian Federation for Human Rights, opened the discussion by highlighting the regime\u2019s deteriorating position. \u201cThe Iranian regime has been weakened in the region,\u201d he said, pointing to the collapse of its proxies and the readiness of the Iranian people for change. He dismissed the regime\u2019s portrayal of a divide between reformists and hardliners as deceptive. \u201cThere is no such thing as two different components in the regime. The NCRI is not just an opposition; it is a government-in-waiting with an organized platform for democratic governance.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Torricelli highlighted the NCRI\u2019s 10-point plan, which includes commitments to free elections, gender equality, the abolition of the death penalty, and a non-nuclear Iran. \u201cThis level of preparation and global support is unparalleled for a resistance movement,\u201d he remarked.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Struan Stevenson, a former Member of the European Parliament, echoed this sentiment. \u201cWe have over 3,000 notable figures, including Nobel laureates, supporting Mrs. Rajavi and the NCRI. This is a massive international coalition that recognizes the Iranian people\u2019s right to overthrow the mullahs,\u201d Stevenson said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/english.mojahedin.org\/iranian-resistance-units\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MEK Resistance Units<\/a>, operating across Iran, were recognized as a driving force behind grassroots opposition to the regime. Former U.S. Senator Robert Torricelli emphasized their role, stating, \u201cThe cells of the MEK now operate around Iran. The people independently take to the streets, whether they\u2019re putting slogans on walls, throwing rocks, or holding signs. Whatever they\u2019re doing, this is their revolution, and they are leading it.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Senator Torricelli: &quot;There&#39;s more diplomatic contact internationally with <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Mojahedineng?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@Mojahedineng<\/a> and the organized opposition than there is with the government in <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Tehran?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Tehran<\/a>. Stevenson singled out Reza Pahlavi, son of the former Shah, as a regime-fueled distraction. \u201cEvery time there\u2019s a crisis, Pahlavi resurfaces, pretending to represent the people. But Iranians have made it clear: \u2018No to the Sheikh, no to the Shah.\u2019 They reject both tyranny and monarchy,\u201d Stevenson said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Torricelli agreed, calling Pahlavi\u2019s emergence part of a false narrative designed to discredit the NCRI. \u201cIf the Shah didn\u2019t have a son, the mullahs would invent him. He is perfect for their narrative,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The regime\u2019s repression of dissent was also addressed. Stevenson pointed out the extreme risks faced by resistance members. \u201cSimply writing graffiti supporting the NCRI can result in the death penalty. This is the level of brutality we are dealing with,\u201d he noted.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\">A Shift in U.S. Policy<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Speakers highlighted a significant shift in Washington\u2019s approach to Tehran. Stevenson noted General Keith Kellogg\u2019s recent remarks <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=p-oWI6eVscU\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">at an NCRI event<\/a>, where he affirmed the incoming U.S. administration\u2019s commitment to reimposing maximum pressure policies. \u201cGeneral Kellogg is not a former official; he is shaping policy for the new administration. His presence at the NCRI conference signals a decisive shift,\u201d Stevenson said.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Senator Torricelli: &quot;Those who think that there&#39;s not an alternative are searching for an excuse not to have the despotic regime fall in <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Tehran?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Tehran<\/a>. Don&#8217;t continue with proliferation. Don&#8217;t do the centrifuges, don&#8217;t do the purifications, don&#8217;t strengthen the nuclear infrastructure. We&#8217;re open to discussions. You said no,\u201d he stated. \u201cNow, Tehran faces an incoming administration ready to reintroduce maximum pressure and rally a stronger international coalition.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Hope for Change<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The conference concluded with a message of hope for the Iranian people. Torricelli emphasized the inevitability of the regime\u2019s collapse, saying, \u201cThis regime\u2019s fall is not a matter of years; it could happen in days when the spark ignites. The IRGC, like other oppressive forces, will crumble when faced with unified public resistance.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Stevenson praised the NCRI\u2019s readiness to lead. \u201cThe NCRI is not just waiting for change; it is prepared to govern.
