The event featured Herta D\u00e4ubler-Gmelin, former German Minister of Justice; Ingrid Betancourt, former Colombian senator; Tahar Boumedra, President of Justice for the Victims of the <a href=\"https:\/\/iran1988.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">1988 Massacre in Iran (JVMI)<\/a>; and Elisabetta Zamparutti, a member of the Council of Europe\u2019s Committee for the Prevention of Torture. Speakers called for international accountability and an end to the Iranian regime\u2019s escalating execution practices.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Herta D\u00e4ubler-Gmelin<\/strong> condemned Iran\u2019s use of executions as a political tool, urging global intervention. \u201cWe demand that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/ncri-statements\/statement-human-rights\/iranian-regimes-judiciary-confirms-death-sentences-for-behrouz-ehsani-and-mehdi-hassani-on-charges-of-membership-in-the-pmoi-call-for-immediate-action-to-save-their-lives\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mehdi Hasani<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/english.mojahedin.org\/news\/behrouz-ehsani-pmoi-supporter-on-death-row-sends-message-from-inside-prison\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Behrouz Ehsani<\/a> be freed and taken off death row,\u201d she declared, highlighting the regime\u2019s record of 993 executions in 2024.
