In Tehran, protesters chanted in response to Khamenei\u2019s remarks from the previous day: \u201cOur enemy is right here, they lie when they say it\u2019s America,\u201d \u201cOnly by taking to the streets can we claim our rights,\u201d and \u201cWe won\u2019t stop until we get our rights.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

On Monday, February 3, 2025, telecommunications retirees held protest gatherings in Tehran and 17 other cities, including Ilam, Bijar, Tabriz, Kermanshah, Ahvaz, Shiraz, Sanandaj, Zanjan, Khorramabad, Marivan, Hamedan, Shahr-e Kord, Arak, Urmia, Isfahan, Sari, and Rasht, to protest the plundering of their wages. In some cities, including Tehran, they marched before gathering.<\/p>\n

In Tehran, on Sardar Jangal Street, in response to Khamenei\u2019s remarks from the previous day, retirees chanted: \u201cOur enemy is right here, they lie when they say it\u2019s America.\u201d They also chanted: \u201cOnly by taking to the streets can we claim our rights,\u201d \u201cThis is the best slogan\u2014it’s all about filling their pockets,\u201d and \u201cUnity, unity.\u201d<\/p>\n

In Kermanshah, telecommunications retirees chanted: \u201cA retiree\u2019s pension only lasts a week,\u201d \u201cMajor shareholders have stolen our rights,\u201d and \u201cWith incomplete or unstable jobs, if we stay silent, this will continue.” In Zanjan, retirees chanted: \u201cLivelihood and dignity are our absolute rights,\u201d \u201cFood and living expenses must be updated,\u201d and \u201cWe won\u2019t stop until we get our rights.\u201d<\/p>\n
