Trump Reimposes ‘Maximum Pressure’ on Iran, Aims to Drive Oil Exports to Zero<\/h3>\n

WASHINGTON, Feb 4 (Reuters) – U.S. President\u00a0Donald Trump <\/a>on Tuesday restored his “maximum pressure” campaign on Iran that includes efforts to drive its oil exports down to zero in order to stop Tehran from obtaining a nuclear weapon.<\/p>\n

Ahead of his\u00a0meeting with<\/a>\u00a0Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Trump signed the presidential memorandum reimposing Washington’s tough policy on Iran that was practiced throughout his first term.<\/p>\n

As he signed the memo, Trump described it as very tough and said he was torn on whether to make the move. He said Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon and he hopes that a deal can be worked out with Tehran.<\/p>\n

On Friday, January 31, in an interview with the state-affiliated news outlet Khabar Online, Salehi discussed the declining interest among doctors in entering medical residency and specialization programs. He stated that in 2024, out of 5,400 available residency positions in Iran\u2019s medical universities, 2,069 remained vacant and had to go through a second round of admissions.<\/p>\n

He added that in the past three years, more than 30 doctors in Iran have committed suicide due to the pressures of their work.<\/p>\n
