In a recent article titled “Atomic Bomb for Establishing Balance of Terror”, published on February 1, 2025, by the Iranian Diplomacy<\/em> website\u2014affiliated with former Iranian ambassador to France, Sadegh Kharrazi\u2014author Eslam Zolghadrpour argues<\/a> that the clerical regime should reconsider its stance on nuclear weapons to achieve strategic deterrence.<\/p>\n It’s deeply ironic that a website named “Iranian Diplomacy”<\/em>, supposedly dedicated to foreign policy and dialogue, is openly advocating for nuclear terrorism as a legitimate diplomatic strategy.<\/p>\n Zolghadrpour contends that in the current anarchic global system, nuclear weapons serve as the most formidable tools for major powers to maintain a “balance of terror.” He emphasizes that without such “strategic and effective terrifying tools,” discussions of establishing this balance are futile. “The atomic bomb is currently considered the most terrifying weapon for major powers, enabling them to establish a balance of terror,” he states.<\/p>\n The article acknowledges the high costs Iran has incurred due to its nuclear policies<\/a>, suggesting, “Iran has, over the past two decades, paid the costs of building and testing at least one hundred atomic bombs in the form of comprehensive sanctions and threats from the West, especially the United States, but has not registered any atomic bombs in its official arsenal.”<\/p>\n #Iran<\/a> News: — NCRI-FAC (@iran_policy) May 9, 2024<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n
