SINGAPORE: An Iranian woman who was on a long-term visit pass will be deported and barred from re-entering Singapore after she was found to be involved in operating a travel agency that had sponsored\u00a0visa applications by terrorism-linked foreigners.<\/p>\n

Her husband, a Malaysian who is a Singapore permanent resident, will also be deported and barred from re-entering.<\/p>\n

Parvane Heidaridehkordi, 38, had her long-term visit pass canceled after she was deemed an undesirable immigrant for engaging in activities prejudicial to Singapore\u2019s security, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) said on Monday (Feb 10).<\/p>\n

Ship Laden with Ballistic Missile Propellant Nears Iran<\/h3>\n

One of two Iranian cargo vessels\u00a0believed<\/a>\u00a0to be carrying sodium perchlorate, the primary ingredient of ammonium perchlorate which is used by Iranian solid-fuelled ballistic missiles, has\u00a0passed<\/a>\u00a0the southern tip of India and is now four days out from Bandar Abbas. The 28,000-tonne\u00a0MV\u00a0Golbon\u00a0<\/em>was reported by the Financial Times to be laden with 34 20-foot containers packed with sodium perchlorate in pellet form.\u00a0Its sister ship MV\u00a0Jairan<\/em>\u00a0is still currently holding its position in the Xiushan Island anchorage 100 miles East of Shanghai, and may not have yet taken on its expected consignment of 24 containers.\u00a0Usefully, both ships are sailing with their AIS automatic identification systems switched on, and\u00a0Jairan’s<\/em>\u00a0declared draft suggests she is in ballast.\u00a0Both ships are registered to Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines (IRISL), and are subject to secondary US Treasury sanctions.<\/p>\n

On Sunday, February 10, marking the 46th<\/sup> anniversary of Iran\u2019s anti-monarchical revolution, which was hijacked by Ruhollah Khomeini, Iran\u2019s rebellious youth demonstrated with 47 daring operations that the fire of the February 1979 revolution remains ablaze. Through a series of explosions at centers of repression, ignorance, and crime, and by setting fire to the regime\u2019s propaganda banners\u2014including images of Khomeini and regime supreme leader Ali Khamenei\u2014across cities in the country, the rebellious youth mocked the regime\u2019s repressive rule and its oppressive institutions.<\/p>\n

While the regime was on high alert, the rebellious youth carried out their anti-repression operations with slogans such as \u201cWe fight, we die, we take back Iran,\u201d \u201cDeath to the dictator,\u201d and \u201cNo to the Shah and no to mullahs.\u201d<\/p>\n

Gas Consumption in 24 Hours Close to 75% of the Country\u2019s Total Production<\/h3>\n

As Iran experiences a severe cold wave and an unprecedented increase in gas consumption, Saeed Tavakoli, Deputy Minister of Oil and CEO of the National Iranian Gas Company, announced on Monday, February 10, that \u201cthe volume of gas consumption in the past 24 hours accounted for nearly 75% of the country\u2019s total production.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to the state-run Mizan news agency, Tavakoli stated that \u201con Saturday, February 8, 870 million cubic meters of natural gas were supplied to the national grid, with more than 75% of it consumed in residential, commercial, and small industrial sectors.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Iranian Deputy Oil Minister, referring to the intense cold in the northern and northwestern regions of the country, predicted that gas consumption could rise to 700 million cubic meters in the coming days.<\/p>\n
