He suffers from various illnesses. His most recent conviction was for &#8220;assembly and collusion against national security&#8221; and &#8220;propaganda against the regime,&#8221; as well as for alleged connections with the People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI\/MEK), for which he was sentenced to six years and three months in prison. The notorious Judge Salavati cited his steadfast stance and the presence of his daughters in Ashraf 3 as part of the charges against him.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">Akbar Bagheri had previously spent six years in prison, from 2017 to 2023, on charges of &#8220;assembly and collusion&#8221; and &#8220;propaganda against the regime.&#8221; He was re-arrested on November 10, 2024, and transferred to Ward 209 of Evin Prison, where he was subjected to torture and interrogation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\">The Iranian Resistance calls for urgent action by the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights and the UN Special Rapporteur to secure the release of political prisoners. Human rights rapporteurs, the Human Rights Council, and other international human rights organizations have long been aware of Ali Moezi\u2019s condition and illnesses.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight:
