The latest rounds of infighting, filled with accusations and exposure of corruption, reveal the regime\u2019s dysfunction and inability to control the deteriorating economic situation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"428\" data-end=\"732\">On February 27, the state-run <a href=\"https:\/\/www.asriran.com\/fa\/news\/1040911\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Asr Iran news site criticized<\/a> Masoud Pezeshkian, the regime\u2019s president, for his admission that 20 million liters of diesel are smuggled daily. Pezeshkian had posed the question, <em data-start=\"653\" data-end=\"698\">\u201cWho is behind this large-scale smuggling?\u201d<\/em> only to receive a sharp rebuke:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"734\" data-end=\"996\"><em>&#8220;Mr. Pezeshkian! Do not interfere in our work. You are no longer in a position to question; you are in a position to answer! The harsh response underscores the growing desperation and finger-pointing among regime insiders, each attempting to shift responsibility for the worsening economic collapse.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"1316\" data-end=\"1749\">In another heated exchange, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.entekhab.ir\/fa\/news\/852886\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">during a February 25 session<\/a> of the regime\u2019s parliament, MP Hamid Rasaee directly confronted Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, holding him responsible for the country\u2019s financial collapse.
