The Tasnim piece insists that the MEK remains \u201cone of the main players in confrontation, terrorism, and sanctions against Iran.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">\u201cMEK Is the Undeniable Core of Iran Revolution,\u201d State Media Warn<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/fx3cJqaThY\">https:\/\/t.co\/fx3cJqaThY<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; NCRI-FAC (@iran_policy) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/iran_policy\/status\/1650892428516417537?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">April 25, 2023<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The regime&#8217;s accusation of a &#8220;whitewashing&#8221; campaign by the MEK is revealing in itself. When a mouthpiece of the IRGC Quds Force claims that a media effort is underway to reshape perceptions of the MEK, what it inadvertently confirms is that a positive word-of-mouth about the MEK is circulating in society. In the regime\u2019s rigid media landscape, where all state-run outlets\u2014regardless of their factional affiliations\u2014are united in their enmity toward the MEK, any favorable portrayal of the organization is unthinkable.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">What Tasnim is warning against is not a systemic media effort orchestrated by the MEK, but rather, it can be translated into a genuine, organic social tendency. It reflects a grassroots interest and recognition of the MEK\u2019s message that the regime cannot control or suppress. The fact that even regime-controlled <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/news\/iran-resistance\/iran-state-run-media-warns-factions-of-mek-amid-regimes-infightings\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">outlets feel compelled<\/a> to address this phenomenon demonstrates the traction the MEK is gaining, especially among Iran\u2019s younger generation.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Former MOIS Interrogator Warns Against <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/MEK?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#MEK<\/a> Influence in <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Iran?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Iran<\/a>, Calls for Internet Restrictions<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/FKQS8AGR8F\">https:\/\/t.co\/FKQS8AGR8F<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; NCRI-FAC (@iran_policy) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/iran_policy\/status\/1745188771602301035?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">January 10, 2024<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As the Iranian regime\u2019s domestic crises deepen and dissatisfaction grows, the regime\u2019s sensitivity to opposition messaging\u2014particularly the MEK\u2019s\u2014becomes all the more apparent.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-pm-slice=\"1 1 []\">Furthermore, when the regime loudly asserts that the MEK has \u201cnever repented for its past,\u201d this message resonates more than it repels. As multiple popular uprisings since 2017 have shown\u2014where socio-economic grievances turned into calls for &#8220;Down with Khamenei&#8221; and &#8220;Down with the dictator&#8221;\u2014the people and the youth will feel nothing but praise for a sixty-year-old movement that has never backed down from its call for regime change.
