Illiterate and a father of two, he was tortured in solitary for 11 months and forced to confess. <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/StopExecutionsInIran?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#StopExecutionsInIran<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/veXtTAKwfx\">https:\/\/t.co\/veXtTAKwfx<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/2NyMklLTHH\">pic.twitter.com\/2NyMklLTHH<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; IRAN HRM (@IranHrm) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/IranHrm\/status\/1914431170147725409?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">April 21, 2025<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"683\" data-end=\"1062\">The criminal execution of <a href=\"https:\/\/iran-hrm.com\/2025\/04\/19\/continued-sit-in-by-the-family-of-hamid-hosseinnezhad-heydaranlou-outside-urmia-prison\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hamid Hosseinnezhad Heydaranlou<\/a>, a 40-year-old political prisoner and father of three, who was arrested in Farvardin 1402 (March\u2013April 2023) and brutally tortured, is one of the regime\u2019s inhumane actions against the people of Iran. Under severe torture, he was forced to confess against himself and sign pre-written statements prepared by interrogators.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"1064\" data-end=\"1342\">Since the beginning of this year, at least 88 people\u2014including five women, seven political prisoners, and two juvenile offenders\u2014have been executed. This figure has<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/ncri-statements\/statement-human-rights\/brutal-surge-in-iran-executions-more-than-1050-under-pezeshkians-watch\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> increased severalfold<\/a> compared to the previous year, and can be seen as a sign of the explosive state of society.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"1344\" data-end=\"1486\">In recent days, <a href=\"https:\/\/iran-hrm.com\/2025\/02\/11\/death-sentence-for-pejman-soltani-systematic-human-rights-violations-in-iran\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pejman Soltani<\/a>, a political prisoner from Bukan who was arrested during the 2022 protests, was also sentenced to death.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"1488\" data-end=\"1864\">The scale of these executions and the systematic killing of prisoners in Iran reflects the regime\u2019s deep fear of uprisings and social unrest. It is a serious warning to the international community and human rights organizations not to remain silent in the face of the criminal Iranian regime, and to take effective and practical measures to confront these inhumane executions.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"1866\" data-end=\"2204\"><strong data-start=\"1866\" data-end=\"1934\">Behbahan Prison Joins the \u201cNo to Executions Tuesdays\u201d Campaign<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"1866\" data-end=\"2204\">The \u201cNo to Executions Tuesdays\u201d campaign informs the public that starting this week, a group of prisoners in Behbahan Prison have also joined the campaign in protest against death sentences. Every Tuesday, alongside other prisoners, they will go on hunger strike.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">The wave of executions in Iran continues, with two more prisoners, including a woman, executed in Zahedan and Qazvin.
