The United States issued a stark warning over the Iranian regime\u2019s role in regional instability during a UN Security Council debate on the Middle East, accusing Tehran of fueling violence through its proxy networks and advancing a nuclear program with no peaceful justification.<\/p>\n

Speaking at the Council, Ambassador Dorothy Shea said<\/a> Iran\u2019s backing of proxy armed groups poses a \u201cthreat to millions\u201d across the region, calling the clerical regime\u2019s actions \u201cinsidious\u201d and destabilizing.<\/p>\n
