Every week, an average of 40 workers die on the job. They fall from scaffolding, are crushed in mines, electrocuted on construction sites, suffocated by gas leaks, or burned in factory fires.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"2301\" data-end=\"2455\">In the past year alone, 22.6% of deaths were caused by falls, 14.2% by traffic accidents, 10.5% by fires, and 7.6% by mining incidents.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"2457\" data-end=\"2800\">Even in death, the truth is obscured. After the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/news\/economy\/report-catastrophic-explosions-at-bandar-abbas-port-reveal-regime-negligence-and-economic-fragility\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">massive explosion at Rajaei Port<\/a> in Bandar Abbas on April 26\u2014an explosion that shook buildings for miles\u2014the government delayed releasing casualty figures. It took days before officials claimed at least 70 workers were killed and over 1,200 were injured. More than <a href=\"https:\/\/sarmayevabourse.ir\/5643\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">65% of workers<\/a> do not own their homes, trapped in a rental market where even a small apartment often costs 10 million tomans per month\u2014equal to the entire minimum wage.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"3483\" data-end=\"3711\">Government housing programs like \u201cMehr Housing\u201d and \u201cNational Housing Movement\u201d have failed to provide affordable solutions. A recent plan to purchase 75,000 homes for workers is a drop in the ocean for a population of millions.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"3713\" data-end=\"3935\">Meanwhile, the Social Security Investment Company (Shasta)\u2014tasked with safeguarding workers\u2019 retirement funds\u2014<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bultannews.com\/fa\/news\/867896\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">faced a 19% decline<\/a> in profits in 2024, according to its latest financial report.
