In an increasingly desperate move to maintain credibility in the Middle East, the Iranian regime\u2019s defense minister, Aziz Nasirzadeh, has resorted to saber-rattling. Earlier this month he warned that Iran would retaliate against any U.S. military action targeting his country by attacking American bases in the zone. \u201cIf we are attacked \u2013 if a war is imposed on us \u2013 we will respond forcefully. We will target their interests and their bases,\u201d the minister said in an interview with state TV, emphasizing that U.S. bases located in neighboring countries would be regarded as legitimate targets.<\/div>\n

To underline his threat, the theocratic regime unveiled its latest ordnance \u2013 the \u2018Qassem Basir,\u2019 a solid-fuel ballistic missile with a range of 1,200 kilometers (746 miles).<\/p>\n

At a May 8, 2025 press briefing at its Washington, D.C. office, the Iranian opposition group, the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), revealed newly-confirmed details about yet another Iranian regime nuclear weapons site.<\/p>\n

This one is located in a mountainous region near Ivanaki, in Semnan Province to the southeast of Tehran.<\/p>\n

Part of a relatively new network of sites, this project is one of four established in Semnan Province following the 2018 exposure of the AMAD Plan: the Ivanaki site, Garmsar Radar Site, Shahroud Missile Site, and the Semnan Missile Site.<\/p>\n
