If they speak harshly, listen with patience\u2026 If this happens, they will help you in critical times.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"927\" data-end=\"1295\">A day earlier, Judiciary Chief Gholamhossein <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mashreghnews.ir\/news\/1718622\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mohseni-Ejei echoed<\/a> the same appeal during a national broadcast: \u201cWe must talk to the people. We must go among them. If we stay in our offices and rely on reports, we won\u2019t grasp reality.\u201d He added that officials must act quickly, so that people do not have to turn to \u201cintermediaries or, God forbid, improper methods.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Iran?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Iran<\/a> News: Regime Insider Warns Officials\u2019 Actions Risk Sparking Uprising<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/TXHrNEJGiA\">https:\/\/t.co\/TXHrNEJGiA<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; NCRI-FAC (@iran_policy) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/iran_policy\/status\/1922292040303251686?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">May 13, 2025<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"1297\" data-end=\"1526\">These synchronized calls are not coincidental\u2014they are calculated. The regime, aware of its shrinking grip on power, is now turning to the illusion of outreach to calm a country that has already crossed the threshold of uprising.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"1528\" data-end=\"1832\">In a revealing and unprecedented move, the state-aligned newspaper <a href=\"https:\/\/hammihanonline.ir\/%D8%A8%D8%AE%D8%B4-%D8%B3%D8%B1%D9%85%D9%82%D8%A7%D9%84%D9%87-21\/39191-%DA%A9%D9%88%D8%B1%D8%AA%D8%B1-%D8%B4%D8%AF%D9%86-%DA%AF%D8%B1%D9%87-%D9%87%D8%A7\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em data-start=\"1596\" data-end=\"1607\">Ham-Mihan<\/em> admitted<\/a> on May 27 that the clerical dictatorship is facing a \u201ccomprehensive deadlock in governance.\u201d In its article titled \u201cTighter Knots\u201d, the paper described the situation in blunt terms: \u201cThere are no technical or isolated solutions to today\u2019s problems. Conventional remedies only make the situation worse. The result is nothing but tighter knots.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"2003\" data-end=\"2282\">The article connects a series of urgent crises\u2014<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/news\/iran-protests\/\">nationwide protests<\/a> by bakers, truckers, farmers, and workers; massive fuel smuggling; and halted industrial privatizations\u2014to what it calls \u201ca handful of interconnected factors\u201d that expose the regime\u2019s structural failures.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Iranian?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Iranian<\/a> Officials Voice Deep Fear Over Growing Social Tensions and Possibility of Uprising<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/NYjgVFrYGf\">https:\/\/t.co\/NYjgVFrYGf<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; NCRI-FAC (@iran_policy) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/iran_policy\/status\/1914014566801187153?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">April 20, 2025<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"2284\" data-end=\"2318\">Among the most damning admissions:<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2322\" data-end=\"2446\"><em>\u201cThere is a complete lack of trust between policymakers and the public. People do not take official promises seriously.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2449\" data-end=\"2590\"><em>\u201cAll decisions are made in secrecy. In an atmosphere of total distrust, all operations are non-transparent, and backroom deals flourish.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2593\" data-end=\"2728\"><em>\u201cHow is it possible that millions of liters of fuel are smuggled, palaces built with the profits, and no one knew for two decades?\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2731\" data-end=\"2860\"><em>\u201cThe knife is at the throat of the treasury. But the state is unable to implement economic reforms\u2014because no one trusts it.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Iran?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Iran<\/a> News: Shargh Daily Warns of Impending \u201cBread Uprising\u201d Amidst Economic Collapse<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/fxXKTuIfMC\">https:\/\/t.co\/fxXKTuIfMC<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; NCRI-FAC (@iran_policy) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/iran_policy\/status\/1907107551533011078?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">April 1, 2025<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"2862\" data-end=\"3178\">The paper warns that \u201ceven routine policy proposals are paralyzed by fear\u2014fear of public backlash, or fear that no one will believe them.\u201d As a case in point, it cites the abrupt cancellation of the SAIPA privatization plan: \u201cImmediately canceled, not because of technical issues, but because trust is dead.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"3180\" data-end=\"3431\">And despite portraying these statements as analysis, the article\u2019s implications are explosive. <em data-start=\"3275\" data-end=\"3286\">Ham-Mihan<\/em> concedes that the entire regime is trapped by its own illegitimacy\u2014a paralyzed system that can neither rule effectively nor reform credibly.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"3433\" data-end=\"3804\">Khamenei\u2019s metaphor of the \u201cseven-headed dragon of corruption,\u201d which he repeated again this week, is also unmasked in this context. For decades, he has insisted the \u201csystem is healthy,\u201d even as embezzlement, fuel mafias, and <a href=\"https:\/\/english.mojahedin.org\/article\/how-state-corruption-is-damaging-irans-economy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">state-linked rackets<\/a> have gutted the economy. But as <em data-start=\"3712\" data-end=\"3723\">Ham-Mihan<\/em> indirectly acknowledges, the rot comes from the head\u2014and the people know it.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Khamenei&#39;s <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/EidAlFitr?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#EidAlFitr<\/a> Speech Reveals Fear of Popular Uprising Over Foreign Threats<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/dODyuhYMCU\">https:\/\/t.co\/dODyuhYMCU<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; NCRI-FAC (@iran_policy) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/iran_policy\/status\/1906654027342811145?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">March 31, 2025<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"3806\" data-end=\"4175\">This sudden flood of \u201clistening\u201d campaigns and soft public messaging from the regime\u2019s top officials is not a response to criticism. It is a containment strategy. The regime hopes it can simulate responsiveness and create just enough confusion to delay what it now fears is inevitable: a nationwide uprising fueled by economic collapse and political exhaustion.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"4177\" data-end=\"4201\">As one analyst put it: \u201cThis is not reconciliation\u2014it\u2019s misdirection. the regime is hoping it can backpedal through a revolution already in motion.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"4335\" data-end=\"4587\">With summer approaching and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/news\/iran-protests\/iran-protest-truckers-strike-on-day-7-exposes-regimes-economic-catastrophe\/\">protests multiplying<\/a> across every major sector, the theocracy\u2019s window to buy time is rapidly closing.
