With the addition of new cities such as <strong>Marivan<\/strong>, <strong>Anzali<\/strong>, <strong>Asman<\/strong> <strong>Abadi<\/strong> (<strong>Ilam<\/strong>), and <strong>Kahak<\/strong> (<strong>Qom<\/strong>), the strike has now spread to at least 140 cities across 30 provinces. Videos released show key transit highways\u2014including <strong>Bandar Abbas<\/strong>\u2013<strong>Shiraz<\/strong>, <strong>Mashhad<\/strong>, <strong>Arak<\/strong>, <strong>Qazvin<\/strong>, and <strong>Shahreza<\/strong>\u2014completely deserted.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Fearing the expansion of the strike and escalating public dissatisfaction, the regime has deployed a convoy of IRGC trucks under the title &#8220;Convoy for the Transport of Essential Goods for Tehran Province.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Yesterday, small truck owners in <strong>Neyshabur<\/strong> joined the protest. Retirees, teachers, oil workers, women, nurses, child rights advocates, and anti-execution activists issued statements of support, demonstrating that the truckers\u2019 strike echoes the legitimate demands of millions of workers and toilers.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Today, truckers reported that several of their colleagues have been arrested in <strong>Isfahan<\/strong>, <strong>Hormozgan<\/strong>, <strong>Fars<\/strong>, <strong>Kermanshah<\/strong>, <strong>Gilan-e Gharb<\/strong>, <strong>Ardabil<\/strong>, and <strong>Khuzestan<\/strong>, demanding their immediate and unconditional release. The truckers also firmly rejected the promises made by government officials\u2014such as Reza Rostami, head of the Transportation, Transit, and Logistics Commission of the Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture, and the head of the parliamentary construction committee\u2014to review freight rates and issues of insurance and fuel by the end of Khordad (June 21) as mere ploys to break the strike.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The IRGC in Khuzestan issued a statement announcing that individuals filming the truckers\u2019 strike in <strong>Bandar Imam<\/strong> had been arrested. Kamran Mirhaji, the notorious prosecutor of Fars Province, stated that those obstructing truck activity had been detained and charged, warning, \u201cSerious action will be taken against those who cause disruption.\u201d (Mehr News Agency \u2013 May 28). In an audio clip, the same prosecutor declared: \u201cAs the public prosecutor of the county, I will definitely intervene\u2014I will absolutely deal with their fuel cards, with the systematic and physical impoundment of their vehicles\u2026 I will not let them off the hook.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The General Directorate of Roads and Road Transport of <strong>Yazd<\/strong> Province issued a notice threatening that all transport fleet vehicles in <strong>Yazd<\/strong> must report to the terminal at 10:00 AM on Saturday, May 31, for loading, or their services would be suspended.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Fatemeh Mohajerani, spokesperson for Masoud Pezeshkian, stated on May 28, 2025\u2014echoing the Shah\u2019s belated confessions during the final days of his rule\u2014\u201cA report on the truckers\u2019 strike was presented by Ms. Sadegh, and it was emphasized that the government has a duty to respond to the needs of all citizens. The voices of all citizens will be heard, and their needs will be addressed.\u201d (IRNA \u2013 May 28, 2025)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On May 29, 2025, the state-run Donya-ye-Eqtesad newspaper wrote: \u201cThe truckers\u2019 strike is not just a stoppage by a single trade group, but a warning bell for the entire road-based supply chain\u2014the main artery of Iran\u2019s economy. For an economy where over 90% of goods are transported via road freight, the truckers\u2019 strike is not merely a professional dispute, but a symptom of institutional dysfunction. If the wheels of transportation stop, the wheels of industry will also come to a halt. For us, transportation is not just a route, but the lifeblood of production.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Secretariat of the <a
