On May 31, 2025, Gianna Gancia, Member of the State Parliament of Piemonte and former Member of the European Parliament, addressed the international Free Iran conference<\/a> to call for decisive European leadership against the Iranian regime\u2019s nuclear ambitions. The event brought together political leaders, lawmakers, and Iranian Resistance supporters from around the world to back the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) and its Ten-Point Plan<\/a> for a democratic future.<\/p>\n

Gancia reflected on her long-standing commitment to the Iranian Resistance, beginning with her visit to Camp Ashraf years ago and continuing through her time in the European Parliament, where she hosted President-elect Maryam Rajavi<\/a> in Strasbourg. She warned that the Iranian regime\u2019s nuclear program has been fueled by decades of deceit and remains a growing threat to global peace.<\/p>\n

Gancia called for the European Union, specifically the E3 countries, to invoke the snapback mechanism to restore UN sanctions and demand the dismantling of Iran\u2019s nuclear infrastructure. She stressed that a zero-uranium enrichment policy must be non-negotiable.<\/p>\n

She concluded by honoring those who have sacrificed in the struggle for freedom and urged continued resistance, affirming that freedom is the most precious value \u2014 and without it, humanity loses its meaning.<\/p>\n

It is an honor to be here to witness with you this important moment for freedom.<\/p>\n

My journey with the Iranian Resistance began many, many years ago in Ashraf, where I was able to witness your vitality and your unshakeable spirit. I then continued my commitment during my term in the European Parliament, and I had the privilege of hosting Mrs. Rajavi at the European Parliament in Strasbourg, where I also observed Iran’s nuclear ambitions, which endanger and threaten peace.<\/p>\n

The Iranian regime’s race to develop nuclear weapons has been marked by two decades of deception. Despite the recent talks with the United States \u2014 which Khamenei himself called dishonorable \u2014 Tehran’s ambitions remain completely unchecked.<\/p>\n

Therefore, uranium enrichment must stop. Europe cannot afford to be misled by the regime\u2019s tactics.<\/p>\n
