U.S. Lawmakers Warn Iran Regime Still Pursuing Nuclear Weapons Amid Brutal Crackdown<\/h3>\n

U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries both issued grave warnings about the Iranian regime on Sunday, emphasizing its ongoing nuclear ambitions and brutal repression at home.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe question for the world is: does the regime still desire to make a nuclear weapon? The answer is yes,\u201d said Senator Graham in an interview with ABC News<\/a>. \u201cThey\u2019re rounding up their citizens by the thousands. They\u2019re executing people\u2026 they\u2019re slaughtering their own people to stay in power.\u201d<\/p>\n

Representative Jeffries echoed the threat assessment, calling Iran \u201ca sworn enemy of the United States\u2026 and our allies in the Middle East, like Israel and Jordan.\u201d He added, \u201cWe can never allow Iran to be a nuclear-capable power.\u201d<\/p>\n
