Iran\u2019s Revolutionary Guard Should Be Banned, Say Labour Voters<\/h3>\n

Iran\u2019s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC)\u00a0should be banned as a terrorist organisation<\/a>, nearly three quarters of Labour voters believe.\u00a0Only one in 20 (five per cent) opposed the proscription of the IRGC, a move backed by Labour when it was in opposition but which it has so far failed to deliver.\u00a0Three quarters of Labour voters\u00a0regarded the IRGC as a threat to Britain\u2019s national security<\/a>, according to the poll of more than 1,500 adults by JL Partners.<\/p>\n

It follows disclosures by the intelligence agency MI5 that the security services and police\u00a0have foiled at least 20 Iran-linked assassination and kidnap plots<\/a>\u00a0in the UK in the last two years.<\/p>\n
