Reports confirm that Dehdasht Prison has now joined the campaign, underscoring the reach of this growing movement inside the country\u2019s prisons.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In its latest statement, the campaign warned of the regime\u2019s escalating use of executions as a tool of repression. \u201cIn the month of Mordad alone (July\u2013August), 166 people were hanged; and in the past week, 31 of our fellow citizens, <a href=\"https:\/\/wncri.org\/2023\/09\/07\/executions-of-women\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">including one woman<\/a>, were executed,\u201d the statement said. It added that two victims, in Kordkuy and Beyram (Larestan county), were hanged in public, describing these actions as part of the regime\u2019s strategy to \u201cterrorize society through humiliation and the normalization of violence.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The addition of Dehdasht Prison to the list of participating facilities was described as \u201ca bitter reminder that no part of Iran is spared from the shadow of execution.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">In Its 82nd Week, \u201cNo to Execution Tuesdays\u201d Campaign Condemns Escalating Wave of State Killings<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/SEXU2rc44W\">https:\/\/t.co\/SEXU2rc44W<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; NCRI-FAC (@iran_policy) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/iran_policy\/status\/1957756639601135935?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">August 19, 2025<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Alongside this escalation, the campaign also condemned the regime\u2019s desecration of Section 41 of <a href=\"https:\/\/iran1988.org\/iran-destroying-graves-of-political-prisoners-in-behesht-zahra-cemetery\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tehran\u2019s Behesht Zahra Cemetery<\/a>, where thousands of political prisoners executed in the 1980s are buried.
