This week, Langarud Prison of Qom officially joined the campaign, underscoring the growing scope of opposition within the prison system.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The statement by the campaign comes as the Iranian regime intensifies its brutal use of executions as a tool of repression. Thirty-nine executions were recorded in the past week alone, including two women, bringing the total to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/ncri-statements\/statement-human-rights\/iran-at-least-12-executions-on-august-31-and-17-on-august-27\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">704 executions<\/a> since the beginning of the Iranian year 1404 (March 21, 2025).<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Families Kept in the Dark on Executed Prisoners\u2019 Burial Sites<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This week\u2019s statement also highlighted the ongoing injustice following the cowardly execution of political prisoners <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amnesty.org\/en\/latest\/news\/2025\/07\/iran-horrifying-secret-executions-amid-mounting-political-repression\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mehdi Hassani and Behrouz Ehsani<\/a>. Nearly forty days after their deaths, their families remain unaware of the location of their burial sites. This deliberate denial of information constitutes enforced disappearance and amounts to psychological torture of their loved ones, fitting into the regime\u2019s broader pattern of human rights abuses.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Today marks 84th week of <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/NoDeathPenaltyTuesdays?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#NoDeathPenaltyTuesdays<\/a> held in 51 prisons across Iran.<br \/>This week, prisoners in Langaroud Prison (Qom) joined the protest. Instead, their memory endures in the hearts of Iranians, serving as a beacon of hope for a future free from executions and violence.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\">A Growing Wave of Resistance<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">With the inclusion of Langarud Prison in Qom, the campaign now spans 51 prisons nationwide. The participants reaffirmed their determination to remain the voice of grieving families, prisoners, and all freedom-seeking Iranians until the abolition of the death penalty in
