On September 13, 2025, economist <a href=\"https:\/\/alefbakhabar.com\/%D8%AD%D8%A7%D8%AC%D8%A7%D8%B3%D9%85%D8%A7%D8%B9%DB%8C%D9%84%DB%8C-%D8%A8%DB%8C%DA%A9%D8%A7%D8%B1%DB%8C-%D9%BE%D9%86%D9%87%D8%A7%D9%86-%D9%81%D8%A7%D8%B1%D8%BA%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%AA\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hamid Haj-Esmaeili warned<\/a> that hidden unemployment among graduates, women, and youth amounted to a \u201ctime bomb for Iran\u2019s economy and security.\u201d He added that official statistics were deceptive, stressing: \u201cThe majority of recent protests and social crises have come from young people, women, and graduates. He gave a jurisprudential and governmental order.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"5769\" data-end=\"5967\">Such statements, while daily life deteriorates, underscore the regime\u2019s disconnect from reality and its obsession with preserving relevancy through its extremist agenda rather than addressing people\u2019s needs.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"5969\" data-end=\"5996\">A System on the Brink<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"5997\" data-end=\"6333\">Taken together, the admissions from officials, state media, and former ministers reveal a system in free fall. From blackouts despite lower demand, to drying reservoirs, collapsing housing supply, runaway inflation, corruption in social security, and the \u201ctime bomb\u201d of youth unemployment, the regime faces multiple converging crises.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"6335\" data-end=\"6630\">Even its own outlets now warn that popular anger may only become visible \u201cwhen it is too late.\u201d The clerical establishment, unwilling and unable to change, doubles down on defending the legacy of repression.
