Berlin, 25 September 2025 \u2014 In a conference titled \u201cIran: Reign of Terror, Popular Uprisings, and the Role of Europe,\u201d German members of parliament and former senior diplomats joined Maryam Rajavi<\/a>, President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), in urging Europe to align sanctions and diplomacy with explicit support for Iran\u2019s organized democratic alternative. Speakers tied their message to large diaspora mobilizations\u2014tens of thousands rallying in Brussels on 6 September for the MEK\/PMOI\u2019s 60th anniversary and a major gathering in New York this week\u2014and echoed the opposition\u2019s unifying refrain: \u201cNo to Shah, no to mullahs\u2014yes to a democratic republic.\u201d Throughout, the role of Resistance Units inside Iran<\/a> was described as the engine of change, while Rajavi\u2019s Ten-Point Plan was presented as the concrete framework for transition.<\/p>\n

Opening the conference, Maryam Rajavi<\/strong> said that despite intensified repression and a rising number of executions, \u201cimportant changes are taking place on the people\u2019s front in Iran. These developments point to the progress of the democratic solution.\u201d She linked recent diaspora rallies to domestic unrest: \u201cOn September 6, tens of thousands of Iranians gathered in Brussels\u2026 Two days ago, Iranians from many U.S. states held a rally in New York, making the same demands.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rajavi spotlighted the Resistance Units<\/a> as the uprising\u2019s catalyst: \u201cResistance Units are expanding their actions in Tehran and other cities\u2026 In one year, the Resistance Units carried out close to 3,000 anti-repression operations and more than 35,000 acts of resistance\u2026 in all 31 provinces of the country.\u201d She framed the central dynamic bluntly: \u201cThe real equation is the conflict between the people of Iran and the clerical regime\u2026 On one side stands the Revolutionary Guards; on the other side is a rebellious force that acts daily against repression.\u201d<\/p>\n

On the nuclear file, Mrs. Rajavi recalled the opposition\u2019s exposure of secret sites: \u201cOver the past 34 years, the Iranian Resistance has made 133 revelations<\/a> about the regime\u2019s nuclear project\u2026 Without the role of the Iranian Resistance, the world today would face a fundamentalist regime armed with nuclear weapons.\u201d Quoting Ali Khamenei\u2019s September 23 remarks, she added: \u201cWe increased uranium enrichment to 60 percent\u2026 there has been a lot of pressure on us to stop, but we did not surrender, and we will not surrender.\u201d She warned that \u201cthe fate of more than 400 kilograms of 60-percent enriched uranium remains unknown,\u201d and that talks are stalled: \u201cEverything is uncertain and unclear. There is no clear solution in sight.\u201d<\/p>\n

The real equation is the conflict between the people of Iran and the clerical regime.
