In Unit 2 of Ghezel Hesar Prison, participating inmates staged a hunger strike, demanding an end to the regime\u2019s execution machine. The campaign\u2019s statement declared: \u201cAt the same time as the World Day Against the Death Penalty, prisoners allied to the campaign at Ghezel Hesar raised slogans denouncing execution, expressing disgust at these cruel and inhuman sentences.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/iranhrs.org\/%d8%b3%d9%87%d8%b4%d9%86%d8%a8%d9%87%d9%87%d8%a7%db%8c-%d9%86%d9%87-%d8%a8%d9%87-%d8%a7%d8%b9%d8%af%d8%a7%d9%85-%d8%af%d8%b1-%db%b5%db%b2-%d8%b2%d9%86%d8%af%d8%a7%d9%86-4\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The statement<\/a> also drew attention to the forced transfer of female political prisoners from Qarchak to Evin Prison, noting that many now suffer lack of heating and minimal amenities in dire conditions. While some women escaped the worst of Qarchak, the statement said, <em>\u201chundreds remain captive in this torture house,\u201d<\/em> including those condemned to death. The campaign called for the closure of Qarchak and for officials to be tried for gross human rights violations.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">In its 90th week, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/NoDeathPenaltyTuesdays?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#NoDeathPenaltyTuesdays<\/a> campaign was held in 52 prisons across Iran, coinciding with <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/WorldDayAgainstTheDeathPenalty?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#WorldDayAgainstTheDeathPenalty<\/a><br \/>Prisoners reaffirmed: \u201cNo to execution for anyone!\u201d<br \/>They highlighted:<br \/>\u26a0\ufe0f Dire conditions for women in Qarchak &amp; Evin<br \/>\u2696\ufe0f Upheld death sentence for\u2026 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/5P0v3PwazQ\">pic.twitter.com\/5P0v3PwazQ<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; IRAN HRM (@IranHrm) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/IranHrm\/status\/1978008504964141244?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">October 14, 2025<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In the text, the activists also condemned the recent confirmation of the death sentence for political prisoner Ehsan Faridi, emphasizing its procedural flaws and labeling it as part of a reign of terror aimed at youth and students. They further identified three other prisoners \u2014 Nasimeh Eslami-Zeh, her husband Arsalan Shikhi, and Amanj Karavanchi \u2014 as victims of arbitrary, ideological trials.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/iran-hrm.com\/2025\/10\/14\/no-to-execution-tuesdays-52-iran-prisons\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">campaign report claims<\/a> that in just the first 20 days of Mehr (October), 162 inmates have already been executed, bringing the total to over 1,000 executions in the first more than six months of 2025.
