That was due to the large numbers of births that occurred after the country’s 1979 revolution and the Iran-Iraq war, which lasted from 1980 to 1988. Youth unemployment in Iran is about 30 percent. This figure is expected to increase as more Iranians reach working age.<\/p>\n
