On December 11, 2025, a high\u2011profile bipartisan forum in the U.S. Senate\u2019s Kennedy Caucus Room brought together senators, former senior officials, and policy experts to back Iran\u2019s democratic alternative to the theocratic regime. The event centered on Mrs. Rajavi\u2019s call for \u201cchange in Iran through organized resistance and an organized uprising,\u201d led by Resistance Units<\/a> inside the country and anchored in her Ten-Point Plan<\/a> for a secular, non-nuclear republic based on universal suffrage and gender equality.<\/p>\n

Speakers repeatedly rejected both the ruling theocracy and any return to monarchy, stressing that sovereignty must rest with the Iranian people. They highlighted the growing strength of the NCRI, the MEK, and Ashraf\u20113, the brutal scale of repression\u2014including thousands of executions\u2014and the regime\u2019s failing economy and regional proxies. Across party lines, participants urged greater political, diplomatic, and informational support for Iran\u2019s organized Resistance while insisting that Iranians themselves must determine their future.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

In her keynote message<\/a>, NCRI President\u2011elect Maryam Rajavi<\/strong> said decades of torture, executions, and discrimination\u2014especially against women\u2014have led to \u201cone solution: change in Iran through organized resistance and an organized uprising.\u201d She stressed that \u201cat the heart of this solution is democracy, both the goal and the only way, to achieve justice, progress, and a government by the people.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mrs. Rajavi described the PMOI-led Resistance Units<\/a> as the \u201cdriving force of the uprising,\u201d embedded in cities across Iran, and highlighted Ashraf\u20113 in Albania as a vital center of the movement, home to pioneering women, former political prisoners, and widely respected activists.<\/p>\n
