In the excerpts, Naami claims: \u201cWe thought it was fireworks\u2026 just to scare people with a few loud noises and smoke,\u201d adding the now-viral absurdity that \u201cthe bomb wasn\u2019t a bomb,\u201d it was effectively a \u201cfirecracker.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">That line is not merely a personal excuse; it is a political instrument. If the device is \u201cjust noise,\u201d then the plot is \u201cjust misunderstanding,\u201d and a state-directed terror operation becomes a lovers\u2019 tragedy with bad instructions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">But the same account also insists the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vrt.be\/vrtnws\/en\/2021\/02\/02\/iranian-terror-suspect-is-belgian-jail-is-top-spy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">device was made of TATP<\/a>, \u201cso sensitive\u201d that it could detonate from heat or movement\u2014while simultaneously claiming it was not meant to harm anyone but the couriers themselves. The regime\u2019s storytellers are asking the public to accept, at the same time, that this was (1) harmless, (2) lethally unstable, and (3) never intended to kill anyone except the people transporting it. The clerical regime understands that Reza Pahlavi functions as a convenient distraction: a familiar surname, a simplified story, and a false binary\u2014<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/news\/terrorism-a-fundamentalism\/why-the-clerical-regime-in-iran-needs-a-fake-opposition\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>mullahs versus monarchists<\/em><\/a>\u2014that crowds out the democratic alternative that has paid for its organizing with prison, torture, and graves.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">So, when convicted operatives suddenly present themselves as enthusiastic royalists, it is less a conversion than a tactic: attach yourself to the loudest, most polarizing symbol available, and you accomplish two goals at once:<\/p>\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>you muddy the terror case with political noise, and<\/li>\n<li>you intensify opposition fragmentation by feeding culture-war instincts inside exile communities.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The regime does not need <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/news\/who-is-reza-the-bully-and-why-does-reza-pahlavi-seeks-credit-from-him\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Reza Pahlavi<\/a> to win power; it needs him to complicate the alternative.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Tehran\u2019s core strategic fear is not foreign militaries or press statements. It is an organized domestic uprising paired with an opposition capable of translating street energy into political transition. The stakes are the safety of European public space, the integrity of asylum systems, and the lives of dissidents targeted across borders.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">If the international community want to reduce <a href=\"https:\/\/www.congress.gov\/event\/115th-congress\/house-event\/108155\/text\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tehran\u2019s operational reach<\/a>, they should treat these narrative pivots as part of the same enterprise as the plot itself. That means:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Do not launder terror narratives as \u201chuman-interest\u201d contrition without confronting courtroom findings head-on.<\/li>\n<li>Do not amplify regime-friendly binaries that erase democratic alternatives and shrink Iran\u2019s future to two dictatorships.<\/li>\n<li>Do not confuse noise for pluralism: manufactured polarization is not political diversity; it is a countermeasure.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The clerical dictatorship survives by making the truth feel complicated and the alternatives feel impossible.
