In parliament, lawmaker Hamid Rasaee on December 13, 2025 attacked the agriculture minister over alleged \u201cinappropriate appointments,\u201d backing impeachment efforts.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Even a senior presidential adviser, Ali Rabiei\u2014a former intelligence official\u2014warned on December 14 that years of stalled reform have piled up economic, social and cultural crises and widened the gap between society and decision-making, creating openings for opposition forces to exploit \u201creal demands.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Fuel prices remain a sensitive trigger. On December 14, the government-linked daily <a href=\"https:\/\/setaresobh.ir\/news\/772141\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Setareh Sobh<\/em> warned<\/a> that raising gasoline prices without public preparation could reopen the \u201cold wound\u201d of nationwide unrest, referencing the November 2019 protests that followed a sudden hike.
