The demonstrations continued on Naser Khosrow Street, in the Tehran Metro, and at the Istanbul Intersection. Running battles broke out between protesters and the regime&#8217;s security forces in the city&#8217;s central areas. Near Sepahsalar Garden and under the Hafez Bridge, security forces and thugs loyal to the regime&#8217;s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, attacked the crowd with tear gas and batons. The people and rebellious youth confronted them, chanting &#8216;Dishonorable, Dishonorable,&#8217; and, in a bold counter-attack, forced the suppressive forces to flee.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The nationwide strikes and protests by bazaar merchants continued in various areas, including Bein-ol-Haramein Bazaar, Charsou, Cheragh Bargh, Lalehzar, Naser Khosrow, Saadi, Saray-e Melli Bazaar, Istanbul Intersection Bazaar, the goldsmiths&#8217; bazaar on Naser Khosrow, Rasteh Bazaar, Goloubandak Bazaar below Park-e Shahr, and the Delavaran and Yaftabad furniture markets. Protesters chanted slogans such as &#8216;Death to the dictator,&#8217; &#8216;Cannons, tanks, fireworks, the mullahs must be killed,&#8217; and &#8216;Pezeshkian, have some shame, leave the country alone.&#8217; During these protests, the vehicle of a regime-affiliated cleric, who had called the protesters &#8216;hypocrites&#8217; (a derogatory term used by the regime for the <a href=\"https:\/\/english.mojahedin.org\/about-the-peoples-mojahedin-organization-of-iran-pmoi-mek\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">People\u2019s Mojahedin Organization of Iran<\/a> (PMOI\/MEK)), was smashed by the enraged crowd.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">At 5 p.m., people demonstrated in the Yaftabad Bazaar, at the intersection of Taleghani and Valiasr, and in Toopkhaneh Square.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On Monday afternoon, the uprising expanded to Mashhad, where people protested in Saadi Square and Shohada Square. Riot police attacked the crowds with batons, and the protesters fought back.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The IRGC&#8217;s Fars news agency wrote today: &#8216;Eyewitnesses have reported to Fars that within a crowd of about 200 people, cells of 5 to 10 individuals were present with slogans that went beyond professional demands. Coinciding with these gatherings, Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran, called for &#8220;the formation of a chain of protests&#8221;&#8230; An informed source in the Ministry of Intelligence told Fars: &#8220;The pattern of small cells present in professional gatherings to give them a radical direction is exactly in line with the enemy&#8217;s scenario of destabilizing security.
