Mrs. Maryam Rajavi: By defending the protesters, rebellious youths have kept the flames of the uprising alive and demonstrated their resolve for victory against the regime.<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

On Saturday, January 10, the fourteenth day of the nationwide uprising, cities across Iran witnessed continued protests by people and rebellious youths aiming to overthrow the clerical regime. By Saturday afternoon, the uprising had spread to at least 190 cities.<\/p>\n

In addition to morning and noon gatherings, reports received by 7:00 PM indicated that as darkness fell, people in many areas of Tehran\u2014including Shahrara, Shahrak-e Gharb, Punak, Saadat Abad, Sattar Khan, Jannat Abad, Heravi, Pol-e Rumi, and Ariashahr\u2014gathered to demonstrate, chanting ‘Death to the dictator.’ In some areas, suppressive forces attacked protesters with tear gas.<\/p>\n

Simultaneously, in Karaj, Aligudarz, Isfahan, Shiraz, Shahr-e Kord, Sanandaj, Qazvin, Qom, Rasht, Bushehr, and Neyshabur, protesters took to the streets with slogans such as ‘Death to Khamenei’ and ‘Death to the oppressor, be it the Shah or the Leader.’ The crowd in Chaharbagh Bala, Isfahan, continued to grow. In Ma’ali Abad, Shiraz, the special guard attacked protesters with tear gas.<\/p>\n

In the Dareh Driz district of Kermanshah and in Gilangharb, hit-and-run battles between rebellious youths and the IRGC and Special Units, which began the previous night, continued until this morning.<\/p>\n

On Saturday morning, students at the University of Science and Technology in Tehran and at Yazd University held demonstrations.<\/p>\n

In East Azerbaijan, the people of Tabriz demonstrated at the Shahnaz intersection, chanting, ‘Azerbaijan has found its way, it has cast aside both Velayat (clerical rule) and monarchy.’<\/p>\n

In Khuzestan province, the city of Izeh was the scene of a full-scale battle on Friday night. Rebellious youths captured the Red Crescent building, which had been turned into a depot for suppressive forces, and set it on fire along with the vehicles and equipment inside. Many Basij bases, the seminary, and government banks in the city were destroyed by rebellious youths. During these clashes, a number of Izeh residents were martyred.<\/p>\n

In Razavi Khorasan province, on Friday night in Mashhad, rebellious youths in the Tus, Tabarsi, and Vakilabad areas attacked State Security Force (SSF) stations and destroyed the regime’s surveillance cameras and equipment. In Vakilabad, buses used to transport Special Unit forces were set on fire.<\/p>\n

In Fars province, Shiraz witnessed intense clashes. In Ma’ali Abad, regime agents fired live ammunition at protesters. In Darvazeh Saadi, rebellious youths blocked the regime’s supply routes by setting fires.<\/p>\n

Today, the regime’s Attorney General said, ‘Prosecutors’ offices must, with precision and without delay, issue indictments to prepare for the trial and decisive confrontation with individuals who, by betraying the nation and creating insecurity, seek foreign domination over the country. The proceedings must be carried out without leniency, clemency, or appeasement… All criminals in this matter are Mohareb (waging war against God). These individuals should not say they were deceived, because the necessary warnings regarding the enemy’s goals have been given to them.’<\/p>\n

Mrs. Maryam Rajavi<\/a>, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran, addressed the rebellious youths and all those leading the uprising throughout Iran, who have shaken the foundations\u00a0of Khamenei’s rule. She praised them for defending protesters at the cost of their own lives over the past two weeks, preventing the regime from extinguishing the flames of the uprising. She added that with slogans such as ‘Death to the dictator’ and ‘This is the year of blood, Seyyed Ali (Khamenei) will be overthrown,’ the people and youth have expressed their resolve for the final victory against religious fascism.<\/p>\n
