Over these two days, various areas in Tehran, including Valiasr Street, Saadat Abad, Salehiyeh, Tehranpars, and Ekbatan Town, witnessed confrontations where protesters chanted &#8216;Death to the dictator&#8217; and &#8216;Death to Khamenei&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On Saturday night, street battles erupted in Khoy, where rebellious youths, responding to the regime&#8217;s indiscriminate shootings, set fire to the district governor&#8217;s building and a suppressive Basij center. They chanted, &#8216;I will kill, I will kill the one who killed my brother&#8217;, &#8216;I will kill, I will kill the one who killed my sister\u2019 and &#8216;This homeland will not be a homeland until the mullahs are buried.&#8217; The previous night, two other Basij centers in the city had also been set on fire during clashes with local youths.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In Eslamshahr, brave youths clashed with the regime&#8217;s special units, attacked the Ghaemiyeh police station, and disarmed mercenaries who were shooting at the people.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In Kermanshah province, the courageous people and youths of the Qalkhani tribe in the village of &#8216;Aineh-vand&#8217; in Sarpol-e Zahab broke the regime&#8217;s siege. During an armed conflict, they retaliated against regime agents sent to arrest the wounded and disarmed several government forces. Elsewhere, youths clashed with suppressive forces in Taq-e Bostan, and in Kermanshah, a Basij agent named Morteza Heshmati was killed during a clash with residents.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Meanwhile, more than 300 lawmakers and political figures from 26 countries issued a statement supporting the Iranian people&#8217;s uprising for a democratic republic. The statement declared: &#8216;With chants of &#8220;Death to the dictator&#8221; and &#8220;Death to Khamenei,&#8221; the people reject any form of dictatorship, be it the Shah or the mullahs, and demand the overthrow of the religious dictatorship and the establishment of a democratic republic based on the separation of religion and state.&#8217; The signatories called for support for the legitimate aspirations of the Iranian people for freedom and for recognizing the right of Resistance Units to defend themselves against the regime&#8217;s suppressive forces. Concurrently, 14 former European leaders, in an open letter to their successors, supported the Iranian people&#8217;s uprising and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.maryam-rajavi.com\/en\/viewpoints\/plan-for-future-of-iran\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">10-point plan of Mrs. Maryam Rajavi<\/a>, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran, emphasizing that the Iranian people, with the slogan &#8216;Death to the oppressor, be it the Shah or the Leader,&#8217; demand democracy and not a return to the former dictatorship.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Secretariat of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/national-council-of-resistance-of-iran-ncri\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>January 19, 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Iran Nationwide Uprising- No. 52 On Saturday and Sunday, January 17 and 18, 2026, rebellious youths clashed with suppressive forces in Tehran and other cities.
