Enduring freedom requires pluralism: enforceable protections for minorities, secular governance that separates faith from coercive power, and credible power-sharing arrangements so that no group becomes a permanent winner and no minority a permanent hostage.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span data-contrast=\"auto\">And this is precisely where the monarchist current\u2014loud, well-resourced, and disproportionately <a href=\"https:\/\/today.lorientlejour.com\/article\/1480264\/israel-reportedly-funded-an-influence-campaign-to-install-the-shah-of-irans-son-in-tehran.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">amplified abroad<\/a>\u2014often fails the democratic test. Instead of widening the circle of opposition, it narrows it: dismissing republicans, secular democrats,\u00a0non-Persian\u00a0ethnicities\u00a0and grassroots organizers as illegitimate or \u201cseparatists,\u201d as though Iran\u2019s liberation can be reduced to a single surname. That posture does not prepare a democratic transition; it rehearses the very habit of monopoly that Iranians are trying to escape.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Reports and whispers of intimidation against critics in the diaspora only deepen mistrust and fracture solidarity\u00a0at the moment\u00a0it is most needed.
