Yet many observers\u00a0remain\u00a0skeptical about the extent of his genuine support within Iran itself.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span data-contrast=\"auto\">More troubling,\u00a0Senator\u00a0Terzi points\u00a0to\u00a0unresolved concerns about Pahlavi\u2019s long-standing relationships with political, economic, and security elements of the current regime. Speaking in a hearing before joint parliamentary committees on human rights, foreign affairs, and defense,\u00a0Senator\u00a0Terzi publicly questioned claims made by Professor Pejman\u00a0Abdolmohammadi, who had endorsed Pahlavi as the only\u00a0viable\u00a0personality capable of guaranteeing a transition. These brave men exist because they contact me and tell me they want to take part in this national salvation.
