The multi-part conversation \u2014 recorded before the latest resumption of hostilities with the United States \u2014 arrived at the precise moment the clerical regime’s internal fissures have become impossible to conceal.\u00a0\u201cWarmongers\u201d\u00a0have openly accused\u00a0the regime\u2019s\u00a0negotiators of staging a “soft coup” against\u00a0\u201cthe Islamic Republic’s revolutionary ideals.\u201d\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Araghchi’s interview was not journalism; it was a factional rebuttal dressed as one.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The surface argument was familiar: Iran went to war because it refused Washington’s demand for zero-percent uranium enrichment, and it was the Americans who “misjudged Iran’s preparedness.” Araghchi insisted the regime “resisted their irrational demand” and that “negotiations did not provoke the war.” He framed the 12-day war of June 2025 as a strategic draw, claiming the two sides ended up “acting as superpowers.”\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
