Iran\u2019s clerical regime is entering a phase in which several crises no longer run in parallel but reinforce one another. The pressure is no longer confined to sanctions, factional infighting, or isolated protests. It is visible in the price of bread, the shortage of medicine, the cost of fuel, the collapse of wages, and the security language of officials who increasingly speak as if society itself were a battlefield.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

State-linked outlets have begun to acknowledge the scale of the crisis. Aftab News wrote<\/a> on September 13, 2026, that the medicine market is not facing \u201ca temporary price increase\u201d but \u201can accumulation of costs\u201d across production, import and distribution. Hadi Ahmadi of the Pharmacists Association attributed the surge<\/a> to the removal of preferential currency, the jump in exchange rates, raw-material costs, packaging costs and transport disruptions.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

That admission matters because medicine is usually the last sector governments want to expose as broken. When drug inflation reaches ordinary patients, the regime\u2019s claim that hardship is manageable loses credibility. The crisis is not merely economic; it is moral and political, because it tells citizens that even survival needs are now hostage to state failure.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
