Iranian authorities used September 18, 2026, for an emphatic display of organized power. State media presented the \u201cJan-Fada-ye Iran\u201d Basij mobilization<\/a> in Tehran as evidence of national cohesion, with combat battalions marching from Imam Hussein Square toward Enghelab Square while Iranian drones and other military capabilities were displayed. Tasnim described parallel activities elsewhere in the country. Official media promoted very large attendance figures, but those claims cannot be independently verified.<\/p>\n

The display unfolded only hours after a deadly armed confrontation in Zahedan. Tasnim\u2019s account of the Zahedan clash<\/a> said IRGC intelligence personnel patrolling University Street became suspicious of a vehicle and came under fire as they approached it. It claimed two armed men were killed and another wounded and detained. Borna separately reported that a police officer was killed in an attack on a checkpoint in the same area.<\/p>\n

Videos and reports circulating from Zahedan described sustained gunfire around University and Daneshjou streets, security deployments and checkpoints in surrounding streets. Images showed bullet damage to a vehicle. Social-media reports also claimed that additional security personnel, an armed man and two female passersby were wounded, although those casualties were not independently confirmed.<\/p>\n

The clerical regime in Iran is preparing to flood its streets with 313,000 regime-organized forces, on the anniversary of the 2022 uprising.<\/p>\n

Once, the regime claimed its strategic depth was in #Syria<\/a> and #Lebanon<\/a>. Now the \u201cfield\u201d has come home.<\/p>\n
