Iran\u2019s domestic pressures sharpened on October 2, 2026, with several separate security incidents reported across Sistan and Baluchestan while the rial fell to another record low and domestic industry groups warned that power cuts, financing shortages and deteriorating working conditions were threatening production and employment.<\/p>\n

The most substantial confrontation unfolded around Bidlad and Shushgim villages in Rask County. Local sources said security forces entered the area at about 5:30 a.m. and that exchanges of fire and powerful explosions continued for more than six hours, with additional personnel and military equipment sent to the area. The IRGC-run Tasnim confirmed<\/a> an armed confrontation in a Rask village. Later in the day, the IRGC\u2019s Quds regional headquarters claimed its forces had killed two armed men in western Rask and were pursuing others. It also claimed weapons and a Starlink terminal were found at their hideout and linked the group to previous attacks.<\/p>\n

Three Security Incidents in One Morning<\/h2>\n

A second incident was reported in Nokabad<\/a>, the administrative center of Taftan County, where gunmen reportedly opened fire on a local Intelligence Ministry office shortly after midnight. Local reports said an explosion was also heard and footage showed bullet impacts on the building.<\/p>\n

Hours of heavy gunfire shook IranShahr as security forces deployed armored vehicles and drones.<\/p>\n
