{"id":3617,"date":"2007-06-05T01:53:58","date_gmt":"2007-06-05T00:53:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/statements\/iran-resistance\/3617-over-20000-in-denmark-demand-removal-of-mojahedin-from-the-terrorist-list"},"modified":"2023-01-12T20:36:24","modified_gmt":"2023-01-12T19:36:24","slug":"over-20000-in-denmark-demand-removal-of-mojahedin-from-the-terrorist-list","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/news\/iran-resistance\/over-20000-in-denmark-demand-removal-of-mojahedin-from-the-terrorist-list\/","title":{"rendered":"Over 20,000 in Denmark demand removal of Mojahedin from the terrorist list"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Politiken\" class=\" alignright size-full wp-image-30904\" height=\"100\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2007\/06\/Politiken.jpg\" width=\"150\" align=\"right\" border=\"0\" \/>NCRI &#8211; In a petition, more than 20,000 Danish people objected to clear disregard for the EU court verdict in removing People&#8217;s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI) from the terror list.<br \/>The signatories of the petition which is growing include human rights and women&#8217;s rights activists as well as politicians and academicians.<\/p>\n<p>A copy of the petition of 20,000 Danish people was handed to the Prime Minister, Foreign Minister, Parliament and different parties in the country. <\/p>\n<p>The petition demands the Danish government not to surrender to some European countries appeasement policy but to comply with the verdict of EU Court of Justice.<\/p>\n<p>On Friday June 1st, Politiken, a major Danish newspaper published the petition of 20,000 people against the decision of Council of Ministers and wrote: This petition was handed over to the Prime Minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen. It&nbsp; demands from the government to abide by the ruling of EU Court of Justice and remove PMOI from the list.<\/p>\n<p>Politiken continued: at the beginning of March Per Stig Moller the Foreign Minister was criticized as a result of this decision by the European Committee of the Parliament but he insisted this was a procedural mistake in the decision making.<\/p>\n<p>Politiken quoted Pouyan Taherlou the Coordinator of Iranian Academic Society in Denmark and wrote: No one is asking the minister to interfere with the Security Agency but we are demanding that he must observe the ruling of the EU Court of Justice.
