{"id":4104,"date":"2007-09-18T12:13:54","date_gmt":"2007-09-18T11:13:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/issues\/human-rights\/4104-iran-three-prisoners-hanged-in-ahwaz"},"modified":"2023-01-13T01:55:32","modified_gmt":"2023-01-13T00:55:32","slug":"iran-three-prisoners-hanged-in-ahwaz","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/news\/human-rights\/iran-three-prisoners-hanged-in-ahwaz\/","title":{"rendered":"Iran: Three prisoners hanged in Ahwaz"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"shirokhorshid-Golden-100\" class=\" alignright size-full wp-image-29628\" width=\"100\" height=\"80\" border=\"0\" align=\"right\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2006\/08\/shirokhorshid-Golden-100.jpg\" \/><strong>In the past nine months more than 250 prisoners were hanged<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>NCRI &#8211; On September 13, the mullahs&#8217; regime executed three prisoners in the southwestern city of Ahwaz. &nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&quot;Some other elements of the bombings are on the death row,&quot; said, the regime&#8217;s prosecutor, Mousa Peryaii, in Ahwaz.<\/p>\n<p>Since January, the number of executions has reached 250 in Iran.&nbsp; Among the victims are a number of political prisoners executed as common criminals such as Messrs Haj-Morad Mohammadi and Fazel Ramezani executed on July 29, 2007, Majid and Hossein Kavossi-Far executed on August 2, 2007, and Abdulrasoul Qorbanzadeh executed on September 5. <\/p>\n<p>   By increasing the executions, the Iranian regime is desperately trying to contain the growing popular uprisings which will lead to its ultimate downfall. &nbsp;<br \/> In past three years, the provincial capital Ahwaz and many other cities in Khuzistan have been the scene of anti-government uprisings and protests by the deprived people in the region. A large number of young people were arrested in the course of the protests. The regime&#8217;s henchmen tortured and murdered a number of the detainees and dumped their bodies outside their homes.<br \/> The Iranian Resistance called on the Secretary General of the United Nations, UN Security Council, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, and the UN Human Rights Council as well as all other international human rights organizations to take urgent measures to prevent the executions.
