{"id":4771,"date":"2008-02-09T16:43:02","date_gmt":"2008-02-09T16:43:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/multimedia\/ashraf-liberty\/4771-iran-mullahs-set-the-stage-for-more-terrorist-measures-against-pmoi-members-in-ashraf"},"modified":"2023-01-13T01:55:09","modified_gmt":"2023-01-13T00:55:09","slug":"iran-mullahs-set-the-stage-for-more-terrorist-measures-against-pmoi-members-in-ashraf","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/ncri-statements\/statement-ashraf-liberty\/iran-mullahs-set-the-stage-for-more-terrorist-measures-against-pmoi-members-in-ashraf\/","title":{"rendered":"Iran: Mullahs set the stage for more terrorist measures against PMOI members in Ashraf"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em><strong><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"shirokhorshid-Golden-100\" class=\" alignright size-full wp-image-29628\" width=\"100\" height=\"80\" border=\"0\" align=\"right\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ncr-iran.org\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2006\/08\/shirokhorshid-Golden-100.jpg\" \/><\/strong><\/em><strong>Blowing up of pumping station supplying water to Ashraf City and 20,000 Iraqi local residents<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>NCRI &#8211; Following verdicts by a British court and resolutions recently adopted by Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe and the European Parliament which dealt devastating blows to terrorist listing of the People&#8217;s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI) and a subsequent listing of Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps &#8211; Qods Force as well as the mullahs Ministry of Defense, the Iranian regime in past few weeks dispatched a number of agents of Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS) as well as Qods Force elements from Iran and abroad to Iraq. <\/p>\n<p>   These rogue elements were to prepare for subsequent plots for terrorist attacks against the PMOI members residing in Ashraf City, home to members of the PMOI in Iraq. The mullahs&#8217; embassy in Baghdad accommodated them in Al-Mansur Hotel in Baghdad and kept a constant contact with the agents. <\/p>\n<p>On February 8, the Qods Force terrorists in a cowardly act blew up the power station supplying water to Ashraf City residents and 20,000 Iraqis living in the vicinity. Also on February 6, a local tribe council member, Sheikh Hamid Ziab, in charge of power station was assassinated. <\/p>\n<p>A number of MOIS and Qods Force agents are presently staying in Al-Mansur Hotel in Baghdad are identified as: Massoud Khodabandeh, Mostafa Mohammadi, Reza Akbari Nasab and Alireza Bashiri. The team leader for the group belonging to the Qods Force is tabatabaie. <\/p>\n<p>According to Mr. Mohammad Mohaddessin, Chair of the NCRI&#8217;s Foreign Affairs Committee, reminded that the MOIS, before dispatching the aforementioned agents to Iraq, some of them including Massoud Khodabandeh and his wife were involved in a separate terrorist incident stabbing the Iranian refugees in France. They were arrested by the French authorities where they falsely testified against the NCRI, PMOI and residents of Ashraf City. <\/p>\n<p>On January 30, a number of the Qods Force agents disguised as members of the mullahs&#8217; embassy staff in Baghdad set up a front organization as a human rights NGO in Khalis city some 27 km south of Ashraf City. However, the so called NGO is a cover for planning terrorist attacks. <\/p>\n<p>On November 8, 2007, four members of the MOIS went to Khalis directly from the Iranian regime&#8217;s embassy in Baghdad and met with Abdul-Rassoul Mullah Hamid Al-Saadi (aka Abu-Heidar) head of the local office for Badr Brigade in Khalis. At the meeting there were two commanders of the hit squads identified as Abu Tabarak Al-Saedi and Khezr Mohammad Ahmad (aka Abu-Osama Khalesi).
