The university officials have been making threatening calls to the families of female students who play an active role in the sit-in to put pressure on their children for ending their protest. Students have been staying in the main university buildings over night. <\/p>\n<p>Students have been calling for the resignation of the university authorities in particular the Cultural and Students&#039; Affair administrator, Zahed; and the head of the university security, Hosseini. <\/p>\n<p>Also in Arak Open University, central Iran, students staged a protest against summoning of their fellow students to disciplinary committees and the outrageous behavior of the university&#039;s head of security, Revolutionary Guard Abdul-Hossein Daraii, when he clashed with female students.
