NCRI – Following the Iraqi forces refusal to allow doctors into Camp Ashraf, the International Committee of In Search of Justice (ISJ)” with the support of 2,000 parliamentarians from across Europe and North America, headed by the Vice-President of the European Parliament Dr. Alejo Vidal-Quadras, called for “removal of unlawful and anti-human restrictions imposed on Ashraf residents” in Iraq. <\/p>\n

After banning doctors to treat patients: With deep concern we have learnt that the Iraqi forces have prevented a team of medical doctors from entering Camp Ashraf in Iraq. They were going to carry out surgeries on a number of patients in the camp especially the female ones. Some of them are suffering from serious ailments such as cancer.<\/p>\n While the residents of Ashraf, members of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI [MEK]), have no access to hospitals in Iraq, refusing to allow medical doctors to enter the camp is a criminal and an inhuman act which cannot be tolerated in any way in today’s world.<\/p>\n We emphasize that the latest measure against residents of Ashraf violates international conventions and prepares the ground for a crime against humanity. We warn the Iraqi National Security Advisor, Mr. Mouwaffaq al-Rubaie, to end violating the most basic rights of Ashraf residents to please the religious dictatorship ruling Iran.<\/p>\n We wish to remind the Iraqi government that its mode of treatment of Ashraf residents is one of the main yardsticks of its independence and commitment to democracy.
