NCRI – On Tuesday, day 73 of protests by Iranians in London and day 118 of protests in Washington were marked in support of residents of Camp Ashraf, Iraq, where close to 3,500 members of the main Iranian opposition, People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI\/MEK), reside.<\/p>\n
Iranians gathered in front of Iraqi embassies in the US and Britain to condemn the continued siege on Ashraf and to demand the immediate implementation of a European Parliament resolution passed on April 24, calling on the Iraqi government to respect Ashraf residents’ rights in accordance with international law.<\/p>\n
NCRI – On Tuesday, day 72 of protests by Iranians in Washington and day 118 of protests in London were marked in support of residents of Camp Ashraf, Iraq, where close to 3,500 members of the main Iranian opposition, People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI\/MEK), reside.<\/p>\n

In London, Iranians and families of Ashraf residents vehemently condemned restrictions imposed on Ashraf City in clear violation of international law and in line with dictates from the criminal ruling mullahs in Iran. They also demanded the immediate implementation of the European Parliament resolution on the rights of Ashraf residents.<\/p>\n
The EP resolution adopted on April 24 called on the Iraqi officials to protect the residents of Ashraf, both physically and mentally and to treat them based on the Geneva Conventions.<\/p>\n
Iranian Resistance supporters and Ashraf resident relatives, who came from various British cities to take part in the London gathering, carried placards and voiced slogans which demanded the Iraqi government to shun the religious fascism ruling Iran and respect its international obligations and conventions regarding the rights of Ashraf residents.<\/p>\n
In Washington, Iranians gathered across from the Iraqi embassy and continued their protests against restrictions imposed on Ashraf City, despite pouring rain. Iranians chanted slogans in support of Ashraf City and distributed brochures to raise awareness about the Iranian regime’s threats against Ashraf.<\/p>\n
Iranians also gathered in front of the White House in Washington to mark the 118th day of their protest in support of Ashraf residents’ rights. <\/p>\n
Protestors in front of the White House chanted protests in support of Ashraf and insisted on continuing their demonstration until the guaranteeing of protection and respect for the rights of Ashraf residents, in line with America’s responsibility and urgent intervention in this matter.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
