We demand the immediate release of all political prisoners arrested under whatever pretext.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The Italian parliamentary committee also voiced support for an international call by the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran, Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, on July 7, 2009. Mrs. Rajavi had urged all political parties, parliaments, jurists, and human rights and freedom of expression advocates, to support the Iranian people&rsquo;s uprising for freedom, to take steps to help free those in confinement, and to declare solidarity with the families of martyrs and prisoners.<\/p>\n<p>The Italian parliamentary committee also demanded the sending of an international delegation to investigate the situation of those disappeared as well as political prisoners, especially those arrested in recent weeks.
