NCRI – Information about a number of suppressive forces, which have entered Camp Ashraf this morning on the orders of the Iraqi Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki, to carry out a massacre of Ashraf residents, is as follows:<\/p>\n
– A unit of the Aghrab Brigade from Baghdad
– Khan Bani-Saad rapid deployment force
– Prime Minister’s special unit commanded by a staff colonel
– Anti-riot force
– Second battalion of the Khalis rapid deployment force
– Third battalion of the 37th Brigade of 9th Division
– Battalions from the first and second rapid deployment forces of Baaqouba<\/p>\n
The commander of the suppressive operation in Ashraf is Damouk, the Diyala Police Chief.<\/p>\n
Iraqi forces used BKC machineguns to fire at water facilities at the northern wing of Camp Ashraf. The resources are no longer operational. The forces have also stolen the majority of vehicles belonging to Camp Ashraf residents, including minibuses, Jeeps, and IFA vehicles. At the northern facilities of Camp Ashraf, all the windows, doors and glass have been broken using stones, sticks and clubs.<\/p>\n
At the outset, water-spraying machines sprayed boiling water on Ashraf residents. Subsequently, loaders and later Humvee armored vehicles came to the scene with machineguns, constantly firing live rounds of ammunition.<\/p>\n
Hamid Ashtari and Mehraban Balai were wounded and taken hostage.<\/p>\n
