This characteristic has been labeled on its shell.<\/p>\n<p>The grenade has an outer shell that after the initial explosion separates and explodes away from the main body. As the outer shell explodes, in addition to a sonic explosion, about 500 plastic shrapnel, 1.00 cm in diameter, scatter in the air. The shrapnel cause minor injuries after hitting people close to the area of explosion.
